Studio
A standard, held on purpose.
FF exists in the gap between web work that is cheap and careless, and studios whose pricing and process put them out of reach. Closing that gap is a matter of discipline, not discounting.
How the work gets made.
Five rules that decide most of the arguments before they start. They are the reason the standard does not slide between a RM1,000 project and a RM5,000 one.
One governing idea, carried all the way down
A site that can be explained as one rule beats a site made of six effects. Whatever that idea is for your project, it holds in the hero, in the middle of the page, on a phone, and with motion switched off — or it is not the idea.
Design decisions are measured, not guessed
Type scales, spacing, contrast ratios and motion timings come from a system that is written down before the first screen. When something is derived from a real constraint it stays consistent under pressure; when it is eyeballed it drifts by the third page.
Fast is part of the design
Performance and accessibility are not a pass at the end. Images are sized, fonts are subset and self-hosted, motion runs on the compositor, and the content works before a single script has loaded. A beautiful site that takes four seconds is not a beautiful site.
Say the price and the limits out loud
Scope, exclusions, timeline, revisions, ownership and hosting go in writing before the deposit. Most of the trouble in this industry lives in the gap between what a client assumed and what was quoted, and that gap is closable with plain sentences.
Decline the work that cannot be good
If the budget cannot carry the breadth, if essential content or decisions will not be available, or if the timeline makes a reliable launch impossible, the honest answer is to rescope it or turn it down. Taking it anyway produces work that damages both parties.
The premise
Cut through ordinary. Build what should exist next.
Remove the generic choice. Make the decisive cut. Leave only what improves clarity, perception or performance — then build that part precisely. It is the rule behind the mark, behind the way this site behaves, and behind what gets deleted from a design at four in the afternoon.
